Lawn cutting, hedge shaping, full clean-ups, rooftop planters, flower beds and regular care. Below is what each service includes, what it usually costs in Dhaka and how we go about it — so you can compare before you call.

How we price a job

Every job gets a written quote before we start. The starting prices below are for an average Dhanmondi or Gulshan house garden with easy access. Three things move the price up or down: size (we measure lawns in square feet and hedges in running metres), condition (a garden left for three months in the rains takes twice the time of one cut every fortnight) and access (carrying tools and waste up six floors to a rooftop adds labour).

There is no call-out fee inside Dhaka city. Green waste removal is included in every price on this page. If we find something unexpected on the day — a wasp nest in the hedge, a blocked roof drain under the pots — we tell you and agree the extra before touching it.

01 — Lawn mowing & edging

Lawns cut to the right height, edges kept sharp

Most Dhaka lawns are durba (Bermuda) grass or carpet grass, and both suffer when they are scalped short. We set the mower for your grass type and the season, mow in alternating directions so the grass stands up evenly, then edge along paths, beds and walls with a string trimmer or half-moon edger.

02 — Hedge & shrub cutting

Straight hedges, rounded shrubs, no bare patches

Boundary hedges of mehedi, kamini, duranta and ficus grow fast in the heat and go woody if they are only cut once a year. We trim the faces slightly wider at the bottom than the top so light reaches the lower leaves, keep the top level with a line, and shape ixora, bougainvillea and hibiscus without cutting off next month’s flowers.

03 — Weeding & bed care

Weeds out by the root, beds ready to plant

Pulling the tops off weeds only buys you a week. We fork them out with their roots, loosen compacted soil, edge the bed and finish with a layer of mulch or compost that keeps moisture in and new weeds down. We know the difference between a weed and your self-seeded marigolds.

04 — Watering & irrigation checks

The right amount of water, at the right time

More plants die from wrong watering than from pests. We check drippers, sprinklers and hose fittings, fix leaks, and set a simple watering routine your caretaker can follow — early morning in summer, less in the rains, and deep soaks instead of daily splashes for trees and hedges.

05 — Soil, compost & feeding

Healthier soil, fewer problems later

Rooftop and planter soil wears out in one or two seasons. We top up with a mix of garden soil, cow-dung compost and cocopeat, add slow-release feed or vermicompost for flowering plants, and can set up a small compost bin so your kitchen and garden waste turns back into soil.

06 — Safety, tools & clean finish

We work safely and leave the place tidier than we found it

Every crew carries gloves, eye protection, first-aid kit, ladders with stabilisers and tarpaulins to protect tiles and floors. Our tools are sharpened and cleaned between jobs so they cut cleanly and do not carry disease from one garden to the next. At the end, the crew lead walks the job with you.
